Bangladesh 3 -0Pakistan |Result Asian First Round Qualifiers World Cup 2014

Dhaka: Bangladesh built a comfortable advantage in their 2014 FIFA World Cup first round qualifier after easing to a 3-0 win over neighbours Pakistan on Wednesday.

Zahid Hasan Emily gave Bangladesh the perfect start by opening the scoring just 60 seconds after the first leg at the Bangabandhu Stadium had kicked-off.

Pakistan settled but soon found themselves two-down through Mohamed Zahid Hossain’s 22nd minute strike before Rethul Karim rounded off the win with Bangladesh’s third 11 minutes into the second half.

Pakistan coach Tariq Lutfi will quickly need to pick up his crestfallen squad ahead of Sunday’s return fixture in Lahore if they are to prevent Bangladesh from claiming the ticket to the second round, where Lebanon await.
